Plugin attempts to connect to MailChimp but never connects

If the message "Connecting to MailChimp..." stays there for a prolonged time and the plugin never connects to MailChimp, most probably there is a Javascript error (can be caused by other plugins as well) that prevents WooChimp from sending Ajax requests properly.

If you are familiar with web debugging, you can use your browser’s Developer Tools to investigate – open Console tab and look for any Javascript errors.

If you are using WooChimp 1.1 or lower, the issue can also be caused by problems described in this article.
